Record stores worldwide hosted “Ego Nite” events to celebrate the physical release of Hayley Williams' third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, which officially debuted on vinyl today.
Alongside the initial 17 songs released over the summer, Williams added several surprise tracks including “Showbiz,” “Good Ol Days,” and “Parachute.” “Showbiz” was co-written with producer and collaborator Daniel James, who contributed extensively to the album.
The song captures a romantic night in a club’s foggy atmosphere, where Williams reflects on the intensity of the moment and questions if it held the same meaning for the other person. She sings:
“I wanna do it again
I wanna dance in the strobe lights
I wanna choke on the smoke
And feel your eyes on me”
The accompanying visualizer displays Nashville’s skyline alongside Williams' distinctive scribble artwork that appears throughout the album packaging.
Fans were invited to listen to “Showbiz” and experience the album’s release through these exclusive events.
“Ego Nite” worldwide highlighted the return to physical music formats, creating a communal celebration around Williams’ latest work.
Williams’ continued collaboration with Daniel James underscores the cohesive sound throughout the album.
