Galerie Adrian Bondy presents Down on the Street, a striking exhibition by Japanese photographer Takehiko Nakafuji. The selection features photographs from his latest book Mind’s Eye and from an earlier work, White Noise.
Nakafuji’s black-and-white images stand out for their vivid movement and raw urban energy. Through high-contrast prints and spontaneous composition, they invite the viewer to experience the pulse of the street as if walking beside him.
“One really has the impression of being down on the street with him.”
Born in Tokyo in 1970, Takehiko Nakafuji graduated from the Photography Department of Tokyo Visual Arts College. Alongside his photography, he directs Gallery Niepce in Yotsuya, Tokyo.
The exhibition “Down on the Street” captures the restless rhythm of city life through Nakafuji’s bold lens, merging high-contrast realism with poetic urban intimacy.
