Remembrance Day Events in Waterloo Region
Remembrance Day, observed on Tuesday, is a time to honor the sacrifices of Canadians who served in various capacities, from wars to peacekeeping missions. Several ceremonies will take place across Waterloo region starting this weekend and continuing on Tuesday.
Wellington County Museum and Archives
Visitors can place a candle on each marker at the museum at dusk. The candles will stay lit until Wednesday. Candles are provided, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Cambridge Events on Tuesday
- Three events will be held in Cambridge on Remembrance Day.
Kitchener Ceremonies

The Royal Canadian Legion Fred Gies Branch 50 will host its annual Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m.

The reading of the fallen begins at 10 a.m.

The parade will begin from Ontario Street, proceed along King Street and Frederick Street, and end at the cenotaph on Duke Street.

The service at the cenotaph starts at 10:45 a.m.
Waterloo Ceremonies

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 will hold its annual ceremony on Tuesday with a parade starting at 10:15 a.m.

The ceremony at the Waterloo Cenotaph, located on Regina Street next to city hall, begins at 10:30 a.m.

A display featuring ceramic poppies will be available for viewing inside city hall.
New Hamburg Ceremony

The parade begins at the funeral home at 291 Huron Street and proceeds to the cenotaph where a wreath will be laid.

An indoor service will follow at the New Hamburg Community Centre.

Afterwards, social time will take place at the Legion located at 65 Boullee Street.
