Michael Bublé has shared how his family's experience, particularly his son's cancer battle, influenced his perspective on his music career. Recognized for his holiday-themed songs and his role as a coach on The Voice, Bublé is best known for his 2011 album Christmas. Despite his association with festive music, he initially wasn't proud of it.
During an interview with Willie Geist for Sunday Today on October 26, Bublé revealed how his son's cancer diagnosis shifted his outlook. He explained:
"I remember thinking, 'Why did I ever worry about anything else?' And from that day on, I never felt the same about it again. Weirdly, that'll be the legacy."
He recounted how his manager used to push him to perform everywhere, but his son's illness brought clarity and a new sense of purpose in his career.
