Joji, the YouTuber-turned-musician known for his introspective sound, has revealed plans for his fourth studio album Piss in the Wind, set to release on February 6, 2026, through Palace Creek. The project connects his earlier lo-fi influences with a more polished, atmospheric production style.
Earlier this month, Joji released the album's first single, “PIXELATED KISSES”. It quickly gained international attention, amassing tens of millions of streams and landing a spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This marked his first new release since the 2022 album SMITHEREENS.
On November 5, he unveiled another song from the upcoming record titled “It It Only Gets Better”. The track highlights his acoustic roots, blending soft guitar with a syncopated bass line and layered vocals. Its accompanying video, directed by James Mao, references the visual style of Joji’s breakout “YEAH RIGHT” from BALLADS 1, contrasting energetic club visuals with minimalist, reflective lyrics.
SMITHEREENS featured the RIAA twice-Platinum and No. 1 Spotify Global 50 hit “Glimpse of Us” — his highest-charting single to date.
According to Joji’s team, Piss in the Wind aims to balance emotional introspection with raw, textured sound design, showing the artist’s continued evolution as a songwriter and producer.
Author’s Summary: Joji readies his fourth album Piss in the Wind with new singles that mirror his signature melancholy, hinting at a matured sound blending lo-fi intimacy and cinematic energy.
