In an exclusive clip from the November 10 episode of The Voice, Rob Cole and Marty O'Reilly faced off in the Knockouts, leaving coach Michael Bublé with a difficult choice.
"I'll be damned! Man, the way you sing, the way you howl and growl, that ain't nothing but the dog in you. You were that good," said coach Snoop Dogg, 53.
"Brother Rob Cole, the way you started on that piano and then you stood up and went to a whole other level like, that's super star. But to me, I'd go with the dog," he added.
Coach Niall Horan praised Cole's piano playing and storytelling: "You told the story so well." About O'Reilly, he said, "Your performance was so captivating to watch."
"I don't even know where you go here. Both of these still deserve to be here and it's sad but someone actually has to leave here right now," the "Slow Hands" singer, 32, commented.
Coach Reba McEntire applauded both singers and highlighted Cole's piano skills:
"I loved you singing a Joe Cocker song. You channeled a little bit of Joe here tonight. Fantastic," the 70-year-old "Fancy" singer told O'Reilly.
The episode showcased two exceptional performances, intensifying the tough decisions for coaches and highlighting the artists' unique talents.
Author’s note: This intense knockout round underscored the challenge of choosing between two outstanding singers with distinct styles and emotional delivery.
