Ruth Langsford, known from the popular ITV chat show Loose Women, recently addressed rumors about her personal life after online speculation suggested she had reunited with a childhood sweetheart.
After her 2024 split from GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage and a grown-up son named Jack, rumors quickly circulated that Ruth had moved on to a new relationship.
While hosting an episode of Loose Women, Ruth firmly denied the claims. She called the rumors “terrible” and expressed frustration about the widespread social media attention.
“Apparently I have a new man. According to this article, that’s all over Facebook and I’ve had friends ringing me up. Apparently I met this man when we were childhood sweethearts when I grew up in Belfast, which I didn’t, and now it’s come full circle after all these years and we are back together.”
The rumors were sparked by an image shown during a segment about publicly announcing relationships, featuring a caption: “The full story of heartbreak, closure and a love that came full circle.” Ruth appeared bemused by the assumption connecting the image to her life.
Her co-presenters on the panel during the discussion were GK Barry, Denise Welch, and Jane Moore.
