For the second consecutive year, the Royal Canadian Legion has introduced an Amazon store offering items such as lapel pins, magnets, and poppy flowers to honour Remembrance Day on November 11.
“The Poppy Campaign is the legion’s most significant fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support Canada’s veterans and their families,” states a news release from the legion on Friday.
The campaign began Friday and will continue until Remembrance Day. Albertans can purchase pins from the Legion’s online poppy store or obtain a pin with a donation at traditional poppy boxes located throughout the province, including at TD bank branches.
