The Phoenix Suns are still waiting for a fully healthy lineup as both Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks remain sidelined. Green suffered a hamstring injury before preseason and has yet to appear in any regular season games. Brooks missed his third consecutive matchup, sitting out Friday's contest against the Utah Jazz with a core muscle strain.
“It's continuing to evaluate them day-by-day. We haven't had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday, the day in between, more just film and walk through. They've been able to partake in all of that,”
said Suns coach Jordan Ott, describing the current approach to both players' recovery.
Both Brooks and Green joined the Suns as part of the Kevin Durant trade with the Houston Rockets. Green had initially been ruled out for ten days before reevaluation, but his debut timetable remains uncertain.
“You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It's the same in practice,”
Ott added, emphasizing Green’s consistent effort and enthusiasm despite being unable to play. The coach praised Green’s gradual progress, noting that his involvement in film sessions and walkthroughs should accelerate his readiness once he returns to live action.
The Phoenix Suns await Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks’ return as both continue step-by-step recoveries under close supervision from coach Jordan Ott.
