The festive spirit returns as the Christmas Pageant officially begins the holiday season tomorrow morning. Drivers are advised to plan their trips carefully, as numerous road closures will affect the central business district throughout the day.
Major routes across the city will be closed from early morning until the afternoon, with over 300,000 spectators expected to gather along the parade route. A detailed list of closures is available on the official Christmas Pageant website.
This year’s parade will follow its traditional path:
“The Christmas Pageant brings huge numbers to the city each year, so road closures will be in place tomorrow morning to keep everyone safe,” said RAA Senior Manager Safety and Infrastructure Charles Mountain.
“On-street parking will be as rare as a white Christmas, so check for off-street options and allow plenty of extra time if you’re driving to the Pageant.”
The city’s Christmas Pageant will bring large crowds and extensive road closures, and drivers are urged to plan routes early and use alternative parking for a smoother visit.
