Channing Tatum, known for his role as Gambit, expresses amazement at what has been achieved in Avengers: Doomsday. With much of the movie kept secret, Tatum seems determined to build anticipation for this major MCU crossover.
"Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie," Tatum told Deadline. "It's hard to say this because, I mean, you hear these things and go, 'Of course'. But they've topped themselves every time. This will be the biggest movie of next year and maybe even the next 10 years."
The actor's excitement began after reading the initial script and witnessing the film's production. Though he avoids revealing plot details, the scale of the project is impressive.
"The scope of it, what they're trying to do… what the Russos have cooked up – when I read it, I was just like, 'How are they going to do this?'. It was an Everest of a mountain to climb. I am still in awe," Tatum said.
Despite suffering a hamstring injury during filming, Tatum confirms that Gambit will be actively involved in the story rather than a background figure.
"I do so much action in this movie, but that was just a small part," Tatum recalled, suggesting that the X-Men will have a significant presence in Avengers: Doomsday.
Author's summary: Channing Tatum hints that Avengers: Doomsday will be a monumental Marvel event with unprecedented scale and action, promising huge global attention and a strong role for Gambit.
