Sarah Snook reappears on television after "Succession" in Peacock's kidnapping drama "All Her Fault," which sits in the middle tier of the rich mom mystery genre.
The series follows Marissa Irvine, a Chicago-based wealth manager and the main character in "All Her Fault." Both Marissa and Siobhan Roy, Snook’s previous role, are played by the same actor and share affluent backgrounds and an appreciation for understated luxury in their wardrobes. Unlike Siobhan, however, Marissa is self-made and her identity centers on her motherhood.
Adapted by creator Megan Gallagher from Andrea Mara’s 2021 novel, the story commences as Marissa goes to pick up her five-year-old son, Milo (played by Duke McCloud), from a playdate only to find he is missing. This incident leads to a tense kidnapping storyline that preys on every parent's fear.
For Snook, who not only stars but also serves as executive producer, "All Her Fault" marks her first lead TV role since the conclusion of the HBO series over two years ago. The show gives Snook ample opportunity to display her emotional range, as her character’s search for her son is filled with dramatic highs and lows.
“All Her Fault (not to be confused with All’s Fair, which also features a female lead and premieres in the same week) gives Snook a made-to-measure role, allowing her to portray intense panic and despair as Marissa’s journey to locate Milo unfolds.”
"All Her Fault" offers a suspenseful but standard entry in the wealthy mom mystery category, highlighted by Sarah Snook’s strong and emotional lead performance.
