On Wednesday, October 29th, the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center hosted a special event in partnership with Italian coffee brand Lavazza to inaugurate a new café within the Center, located at Industry City.

The event brought together alumni, current students, and special guests to celebrate Lavazza’s contribution. Martin Scorsese, Tisch Dean's Council member and alumnus (’64, ’68, Hon. ’92), attended alongside his daughter and recent alumna Francesca Scorsese (’23, Kanbar Institute, Film & TV).

Martin Scorsese spoke about the importance of coffee shops during his youth and career, describing these spaces as hubs for genuine artistic collaboration and creativity.
