The community is warmly invited to join dignitaries from Hammersmith & Fulham Council on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed for the country.
Remembrance Sunday offers a moment for reflection and gratitude toward the armed forces who fought in the First and Second World Wars and in later conflicts. The services commemorate the historic moment when, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns fell silent across Europe.
The procession will start at 10:25am from Sulgrave Road, off Shepherds Bush Road, and will move toward the open-air war memorial on Shepherds Bush Green. Attendees will include Cllr Sharon Holder, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Youth Mayor Albi Fenner.
“The service will be led by Fr Richard Nesbitt of Our Lady of Fatima Church in White City and the Rev Cameron Collington of St Simon’s Church in Shepherds Bush.”
The parade will feature local Army reservists, Army cadets, members of the Burma Star Association, faith leaders, Scout groups from Hammersmith, Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade cadets, St John Ambulance volunteers, and community representatives.
The procession will be led by piper Fergus Collington, accompanied by Thames Fanfare Brass.
Parallel Remembrance Sunday services and parades will take place in Fulham, providing an opportunity for residents to join in paying their respects.
