Derby’s residents are invited to attend the Remembrance Sunday commemorations on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to honor the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and emergency services.
The annual Remembrance Sunday parade and service will take place in Derby, gathering youth groups, veteran organizations, and the wider community. At 10:45 am, members of local veteran and youth groups will march through the city center to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
A short service will begin at 10:55 am, led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr. Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby. During this service, a two-minute silence will be observed to pay respect to those who served.
Following this, wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and representatives from local organizations.
The Order of Service is available for download, and the event will be broadcast live on a large screen in the Market Place.
