Several Dorset postcodes, including areas in Poole and Christchurch, earned prizes in the People's Postcode Lottery during October 2025. Multiple streets across the county were lucky as their postcodes were drawn for various awards.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based game created to support charities while offering cash prizes to participants across the UK. Every day from Monday to Sunday, 20 postcodes win £1,000 each, and on Saturdays, players can share a grand prize of £1 million known as Millionaire Street.
"Every month players in a postcode sector share £3.2 million or more. In this example, £1.6 million of this will be shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode, with the other £1.6 million being shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode sector. On the rare occasion where there are not enough winning tickets in the postcode sector, the area may be expanded to the postcode district."
At least 33% of every ticket goes to charity. Since launching in 2005, the lottery has generated over £1.3 billion for more than 9,000 charitable projects and community initiatives throughout the UK.
Residents across various Dorset postcodes were among the lucky winners, with prizes ranging from thousands of pounds in daily draws to larger cumulative wins. Full listings by draw date were provided by the lottery organizers.
In October 2025, Dorset residents celebrated multiple wins in the People's Postcode Lottery, contributing to both local joy and charitable causes nationwide.
