On Tuesday, November 4, with 76% of votes counted, Republican candidates were ahead in all four major Nassau County races—county executive, district attorney, comptroller, and clerk—indicating the GOP’s sustained strength across Long Island.
Republican incumbent Bruce Blakeman announced his victory Tuesday night, leading Democratic challenger Seth Koslow with 54% to 46% of the vote. Blakeman has served as county executive since 2021.
“I want to thank the men and women of Nassau County for giving us your trust to lead us going forward. We are going to continue the work that was started to make us an even more prosperous county.”
Having run many campaigns before, Blakeman described the election as a night filled with both optimism and apprehension.
