Dame Helen Mirren, acclaimed actress and producer, will be honored with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, the Golden Globes announced on Wednesday.
She will receive the award during a new primetime special titled Golden Eve, which will celebrate recipients of both the Cecil B. DeMille Award and the Carol Burnett Award. The event will air ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+.
Golden Eve will include in-depth interviews and career retrospectives highlighting the achievements of notable figures from both film (DeMille) and television (Burnett) industries who have made significant contributions on and off screen.
Mirren's distinguished career includes roles in The Queen, The Madness of King George, Red, the Fast & Furious franchise, Gosford Park, Trumbo, and Hitchcock, among others. Over decades, she has received numerous accolades, including an Oscar, five Emmys, SAG, BAFTA, and a Tony Award.
In 2003, she was also made a Dame of the British Empire.
Established in 1952, the Cecil B. DeMille Award honors the legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. Since then, 69 recipients have been recognized, including notable names such as Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Oprah Winfrey.
