Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy continue to hold the top positions in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings for batsmen and bowlers respectively. Their standing remains firm despite strong performances by several Pakistani players after their 2-1 series victory against South Africa at home.
Batting Rankings Highlights
Abhishek Sharma leads the batters' rankings with 925 rating points, followed by England’s Phil Salt and Tilak Verma. India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav is the only other player from the team in the top 10, positioned eighth.
- Babar Azam climbed nine spots to equal 30th
- Saim Ayub rose 10 places to 39th
- Salman Agha improved by 10 ranks to 54th
Bowling Rankings Update
Varun Chakravarthy remains the top-ranked T20 bowler, with West Indies’ Akeal Hosein and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan rounding out the top three, unchanged.
Changes have occurred just below the top three:
- Australia’s Adam Zampa dropped from fourth to seventh
- Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, England’s Adil Rashid, and Nuwan Thushara all moved up one spot
- Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood jumped two places to tenth following strong performances against India
Chakravarthy is currently the only Indian bowler within the top 10 of the T20 bowling rankings.
