Miss Universe Contestants Walk Out After Executive Insults Miss Mexico

Several Miss Universe contestants left a pre-pageant event following a tense confrontation between Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch and pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil.

Conflict Over Promoting Host Country

The incident began when Bosch declined Itsaragrisil’s request that all contestants promote Thailand on their social media. He reminded her,

“You are in Thailand. You are in a game.”

The disagreement, caught on a livestream, intensified as Itsaragrisil reprimanded Bosch for refusing to participate in a Thailand-themed photo shoot. He insisted she verbally agree to share promotional posts about the country.

Verbal Exchange and Accusations

When Bosch tried to explain her position, Itsaragrisil accused her of siding with the Miss Mexico directors rather than his Miss Universe team in Thailand, and called her a “dummy.”

Asked why she remained standing after being told to sit, Bosch responded,

“Because I have a voice. You’re not respecting me as a woman.”

Protests and Removal

A group of contestants protested Itsaragrisil’s behavior as he called security to remove Bosch from the room. As she exited, Bosch said,

“As women, you need to show respect for us.”

This episode highlights ongoing tensions behind the scenes at major international events, emphasizing the importance of respect and mutual understanding.
