National Service of Remembrance, Sunday 9 November 2025

On Sunday 9 November, the National Service of Remembrance will take place at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London. The event starts at 11am and honors the British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women from both world wars and subsequent conflicts.

Event Coordination and Participation

The Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) organizes the service with support from government, the Armed Forces, and veterans’ groups. No tickets or passes are required, and the public is invited to watch the ceremony from pavements along Whitehall and Parliament Street.

Security and Viewing Arrangements

All attendees will undergo security checks, and access may be restricted if the area reaches full capacity.

Video screens will be available north of the Cenotaph, near the green in front of Field Marshal Montgomery's statue.
Additional screens will be in the lay-by outside Dover House (between Horse Guards and Downing Street) and near the junction of Whitehall Place.
