The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is the latest full-frame mirrorless camera designed for photographers and videographers who want high performance without reaching the price or resolution of the EOS R5 Mark II. This model targets users who don't need 45 megapixels yet still seek exceptional imaging capabilities.
The R6 Mark III features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, offering a notable improvement over the previous generation’s 24-megapixel resolution. It delivers improved autofocus performance, rapid processing, and the flexibility to capture both stills and high-quality motion footage.
Canon has positioned the EOS R6 Mark III as a true video powerhouse. It supports full corner-to-corner open-gate recording and can shoot up to 7K/60p in RAW, as well as 4K/120p video. The camera also provides multiple gamma choices, including Canon Log 2 and custom color profiles for professional workflows.
“The R6 Mark III supports full corner-to-corner open-gate recording for additional cropping freedom.”
The camera includes a redesigned dual-card system with a faster CFexpress Type B slot and replaces the micro HDMI connection with a full-size Type A HDMI port. It also adds a tally lamp to signal recording status, especially useful for video production scenarios.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III will be available from November 25.
