Plane Crash Kills One in Milton

One person died and another was seriously injured after a plane crashed into the driveway of a home in Milton. The pilot, Frederick Barber, 58, from Port Charlotte, Florida, was killed in the crash. The passenger, Alexander Hoff, 39, from Hollis, New Hampshire, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center.

Incident Details

The crash occurred at 10:24 AM on November 6, 2025, in a residential area on Wyndham Way in Milton. Nine fire departments, three police agencies, Community EMS, Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management, and the Saratoga County Hazardous Material Team responded to the scene, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Response and Investigation

Saratoga County Sheriff Mike Zurlo explained in a press conference that the plane likely struck a tree before crashing into the driveway. Although initially reported as a structure fire with entrapment, responders found the fire was limited to the outside of the residence, which remained undamaged.
