Strictly Come Dancing performance first with Britain's Got Talent link-up

Strictly Come Dancing Teams Up with Britain's Got Talent Stars

Strictly Come Dancing is making a bold move to attract younger viewers by featuring a street dance troupe on the show for the first time. The London-based group Diversity, known for winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, will join the BBC ballroom series in a unique collaboration.

Diversity's Debut Performance Details

Fourteen members of Diversity, including well-known dancers Perri Kiely and brothers Ashley and Jordan Banjo, will perform on the Strictly results show airing November 16. Their style contrasts with traditional ballroom dancing, introducing hip hop elements to the stage.

Performance Highlights

The male hip hop crew will dance to Raye's song Where Is My Husband? alongside five female professional dancers:

“Fans can expect a spectacular group number choreographed by Jason Gilkinson and Ashley Banjo. Set in LA, it's a dance extravaganza that sees old school Hollywood collide with hip hop, as the five Strictly pros and Diversity celebrate some of the most iconic screen sirens from the Golden Age of cinema - including Marilyn Monroe.”

“The pros will basically be asking Diversity exactly what the song title suggests.”

Innovative Fusion to Engage New Audiences

This collaboration blends classic ballroom with street dance, aiming to broaden the show's appeal and bridge different dance cultures, creating a fresh experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.

Author's summary: Strictly Come Dancing innovates by featuring Diversity, merging hip hop and ballroom to captivate younger viewers with a Hollywood-themed group performance.
