Microsoft Accidentally Breaks Windows 10 to Windows 11 Upgrade
Microsoft has inadvertently broken the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) ahead of Windows 10's end-of-life (EOL) date.
The MCT, a primary method for Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11, fails to work on Windows 10 PCs. Although workarounds exist, a timeline for a fix has not been provided.
With Windows 10 officially reaching its end-of-life on October 14, 2025, users will no longer receive free security updates or bug fixes, making their PCs more vulnerable to security risks.
After this date, if you are still using Windows 10, you will not get any free security updates or bug fixes. Your PC would still work, but it will be more vulnerable to security risks.
As a result, many users are rushing to install Windows 11, provided their PC supports it.
